Remember to change your filters when it’s due even when it might look not so dirty.
Like any other kind of machine, maintenance and replacement are also really important to water purifiers and filters. It only takes a little extra time and effort but it provides your family with a much more assured source of drinking water in exchange. Just simply follow these replacement recommendation:
Filter no.1 (PPE): Should be changed after 3-6 months. It would reach a lifetime of 4 months in a tap water environment while it is only 2 to 3 months in a well water environment which consists of a high level of iron, limestone, mangan, etc.
Filter no.2 (UDF-GAC): Should be changed after 6-9 months. Its lifetime in a tap water environment and a well water environment is about 8 months and 5-6 months respectively.
Filter no.3 (CTO): Should be changed after 9-12 months. Its figures for tap water and well water environments are about 10 months and 7-8 months respectively.
Filter no.4 (RO Membrane): Should be changed after 2-4 years. Its lifetime in a tap water environment is around 3 years while its figure in a well water environment is from 1.5 to 2 years.
Filter no.5 (T33): Should be changed after 1-2 years. Its lifetime in a tap water environment and a well water environment is about 1.8 months and 9-12 months respectively.
All filter types from no.6 and up would be most ideal to be changed after 2 years from its first working day.
